C.R.A.Z.Y

I watched this last night, amazing movie.

If every queer movie had the soundtrack that accompanies the Canadian flick, C.R.A.Z.Y, then it would be a perfect world. Featuring riffs from David Bowie to Patsy Kline, John Lennon to Charles Aznavour, it’s a perfectly pitched coming of age story set in the late ’60s, ’70s and early ’80s that’s a must for gay audiences.

C.R.A.Z.Y tells the story of Zach, a boy who wants a pram for Christmas but gets a baseball game from his increasingly homophobic, Catholic father. Zach wants his dad to love him, Dad wants to love Zach, but with the ‘G’ word at the back of everyone’s minds, things aren’t working out quite the way everyone would like.

This beauty won 10 Geni Awards, Canada’s equivalent to the Oscars, and is a magically nostalgic trip into a world of flares, glam rock and crazy Catholic mysticism. It's the perfect night-in-with-a-bottle-of-wine movie.

Plays Zach and is simply adorable

C.R.A.Z.Y is currently on release on DVD

Trivia: Even though the movie's dialogue was in French, for the theatrical release in France, subtitles were added for viewers who cannot understand Québécois French.

Gyllenhaal to Play Cyclist Armstrong in Biopic

A biopic on seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong will star actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the title role.

According to the "New York Daily News," Armstrong has told various sources at ESPN, that Gyllenhaal will portray him in the film.

The 25-year-old apparently beat out actor Matthew McConaughey for the part.

The film is said to be the reason why Armstrong has been photographed hanging out with both Gyllenhaal and McConaughey numerous times this summer.

Gyllenhaal earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination earlier this year for his role in the gay cowboy drama "Brokeback Mountain."

Actor Heath Ledger, who played one of the gay cowboy lovers in “Brokeback Mountain”, will join the cast of the next Batman movie. He’ll portray The Joker. Maybe a more appropriate name would be The Poker.

An old cowboy sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. As he sat sipping his drink, a young woman sat down next to him. She turned to the cowboy and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"

He replied, "Well, I've spent my whole life, breaking colts, working cows, going to rodeos, fixing fences, pulling calves, bailing hay, doctoring calves, cleaning my barn, fixing flats, working on tractors, and feeding my dogs, so I guess I am a cowboy."

She said, "I'm a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about women. As soon as I get up in the morning, I think about women. When I shower, I think about women. When I watch TV, I think about women. I even think about women when I eat. It seems that everything makes me think of women."

The two sat sipping in silence.

A little while later, a man sat down on the other side of the old cowboy and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"

He replied, "I always thought I was, but I just found out I'm a lesbian."
