Dear Host, I have no trace of regret that I will be unable to attend your snore-inducing soiree. i will be on vacation in Budapest, and thus unavailable for you to bore with your insiped palaver. Once the holidays are past , I hope to spend some time poring over partry photos and admiring everyone in their finery.

Please give my animosity to your party guests, and tell them I believe life's really dark moments never fail to build character. My best wishes for a truculent and tawdry holiday.

Answer a few questions and your on your way.

The Key West, Fla., Business Guild says it is taking spring break to a "whole new level" by hosting a Gay Spring Break aimed at college students - although there is no age limit on who may attend. "Spring break is a yearly tradition for college students around the world, and Key West has long been rated as the top gay spring break destination," said Ian Whitney, chairman of new events for the Business Guild. Gay Spring Break, described by Whitney as "one of the nation's hottest gay parties," will feature six weeks of beach parties, dance parties, boat parties, drag shows, men-only and women-only events, meet-and-greet receptions, contests and various recreational opportunities, the group announced. And because Gay Spring Break is expected to draw many gay student leaders, the agenda includes networking and leadership development activities. "Gay Spring Break is not just for college kids," said Whitney. "We are reaching out to all young gay men and women, the circuit party crowd, and all others who enjoy the types of events that we are planning, good music, palm trees, nightlife, fun people and all of the many things that Key West has to offer." Steve Smith, president of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, said the event "will introduce the next generation of gay and lesbian tourists to events and facilities that specifically cater to them."

That's what I want for Christmas.
