Man who entered store wearing only underwear pleads guilty

KETTERING — Steven M. Wolcott, 44, of 15 Wiltshire Blvd., Oakwood, pleaded guilty to two charges of menacing by stalking in Kettering Municipal Court Thursday morning.

Wolcott, who is listed as being married and the father of three, was arrested by Centerville police Aug. 22 and charged with being the man who walked into the Ashley & Hilary women's clothing store at 4 W. Franklin St., Centerville, in February, March and August, wearing nothing but underwear and making vulgar gestures. He has a history of indecent exposure arrests dating back to at least September 1995, according to police and court records.
Kettering Municipal Court Judge Robert Moore dismissed two other charges of disorderly conduct. He set a pre-sentencing investigation for next week and the date for sentencing at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 22.

Wolcott's attorney Alan Gabel said Wolcott has been in counseling and will continue in intense counseling. "He admits he has an illness and he's truly sorry," he said.

pledges wearing women's underwear

ORLANDO, Florida -- One of the University of Central Florida's oldest fraternities has been disbanded by its national headquarters following allegations of hazing involving heavy drinking and pledges wearing women's underwear.

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter will be closed immediately, said Brandon Weghorst, a spokesman for the Evanston, Illinois-based fraternity. "Our board does not feel it's worth the effort to rehabilitate the group."

Police said they found pledges crawling on their hands and knees and wearing items such as diapers and women's underwear. Three men were taken to a hospital, and the house smelled of beer, urine and vomit.

Three pledges were taken to an area hospital.

WKMG television reported that "a number of devices" were found in the house leading police to believe some of the students had been sexually assaulted.

Police have declined to say if any the pledges have alleged they were raped, or if rape kits had been used on any of the three taken to hospital.

City sets underwear rule for firefighters

A CANADIAN city under pressure for alleged sexual harassment within its fire department has ordered firefighters to wear only boxer-style underwear.
The city of Richmond in British Columbia will spend $C16,000 ($A18,700) to buy six pairs of underwear for each firefighter in a bid to make fire halls in the suburb of Vancouver more gender neutral, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

"We supply firefighters with various pieces of gear such as gloves, now it's underwear," city official Ted Townsend told the Vancouver Sun, saying it was part of the "integration of the sexes in the workplace."

A recent investigation of the department described its workplace culture as "characterised by juvenile and hostile behaviour" toward female firefighters by their male colleagues.

Firefighters strip off most of their clothes in order to don protective gear when responding to fire alarms, although Mr Townsend said the city is considering buying gear that can be put on over regular uniforms.

STEWART: 'I DON'T WEAR WOMEN'S UNDERWEAR ANYMORE'

Veteran rocker ROD STEWART insists he no longer wears women's underwear, especially considering they would be visible under his tight trousers.
The MAGGIE MAY singer last donned female undergarments during his relationship with actress BRITT EKLAND in the 1970s.
Stewart says, "The only women's underwear I've put on was my ex-girlfriend Britt Ekland's.
"That was only because I didn't have any of my own. I didn't want to have a panty line under my tight trousers."
