Jesse Gordon Spencer (born February 12, 1979) is an Australian actor known most recently for his role as Dr. Robert Chase in the medical drama, House.

Spencer is well known in Australia and the UK as Billy Kennedy in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, a role he played from 1994 to 2000. He has since appeared in the drama Death in Holy Orders, as well as the films Uptown Girls and Swimming Upstream.

He is now based in the United States playing the role of Dr. Robert Chase in House, alongside Hugh Laurie in the title role. Jesse also recently co-starred with fiancée Jennifer Morrison in the film Flourish.

Spencer has played the violin since the age of 10 and also plays the guitar and piano.
He is fluent in French. According to a magazine interview with Jennifer Morrison, he proposed to her in it.
He received a "Golden Boomerang" Award by Australians in Film at the 2nd Australians in Film Breakthrough Awards on 11 May 2006 for his work on House, alongside Jacinda Barrett, James Wan and Leigh Whannell. [2] The award was presented to him by co-star and fiancée, Jennifer Morrison.
Spencer is a former room-mate of James McAvoy when he lived in London. The latter invited him to the Los Angeles premiere of The Last King of Scotland on 21 September 2006.
He is a fan of Battlestar Galactica, according to a magazine interview.
Spencer made the 2.007 List of People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People Issue.
